Paul writes in the second epistle to the people of Corinth: "When one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to 'another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit." What a reminder! This reminder is one that we should keep present in our lives, especially when we realize how difficult it is for us to see, understand or realize the glory of God in our lives and in the lives of those who surround us. One of the ways that we can be more ready or be able to experience this transforming power of the Spirit is when we set a time and space aside to let God be manifested and revealed. This is the last Sunday in Epiphany; this Wednesday is Ash Wednesday and with that we are beginning the Lenten season. Let us give thanks to God for how he has been manifested to us in our lives and let us commit ourselves to take time and find that place where his manifestation can continue transforming us and allowing us to see his image in us and everyone that surround us.
