Head of School

Mrs. Norma E. Perez

Norma E. Perez joins St. Philip’s as Head of School after serving in a neighboring independent school community for 11 years. A seasoned educator and administrator, Mrs. Perez taught primary and lower school students for 20 years before becoming Dean of Students for Primary and Lower School in 2015 and Assistant Principal in 2016. Born and raised in Miami, FL, she earned a BS in Business Management from Florida State University, followed by a Master’s in Elementary Education from the University of Miami. Driven to serve students, families, and faculty to the best of her ability, Mrs. Perez completed a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Barry University in 2011. Mrs. Perez draws on these formative academic experiences alongside those she gained from raising three daughters with her husband, Pablo.

As Head of School, Mrs. Perez will liaise with students, families, faculty, trustees, and her colleagues in administration to further the mission of St. Philip’s Episcopal School. She is eager to support all in fostering a nurturing environment grounded in academic excellence and the Episcopal tradition.
