Student Council
St. Philip’s Student Council is one of the many opportunities for student leadership. The Student Council helps share students’ ideas, interests, and concerns with the St. Philip’s community. Members raise funds for outreach projects through school-wide activities.
The Student Council is made up of a 5th grade Executive Board, along with class representatives from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. The members of the Executive Board are elected by the student body at the end of every school year and serve for the duration of the following school year. Class representatives are elected by their respective classes each fall.
The Student Council meets regularly with their faculty and parent advisors. Together with their advisors, they develop possible fundraising ideas and actively participate in fundraising events such as “Change for Good” dress-down days. The Student Council selects one or two charities as recipients for the funds raised that year. For the 2020 - 2021 school year, Student Council events supported Live Like Bella Childhood Cancer Foundation and the Le Jardin Homestead Snack Program.
